GameSchoolCon
Board Game Library
What Is the GameSchoolCon Library?
The GameSchoolCon Board Game Library is a carefully curated collection of hundreds of educational, strategic, creative, and just plain fun games—all available for attendees to play throughout the weekend. From preschool-friendly memory games to complex Eurogames, this library is a hands-on treasure trove for families who believe that play is powerful.
Whether you’re exploring Gameschooling for the first time or looking for your next favorite title, you’ll find something here to spark curiosity, connection, and joy.

How Does the Library Work?
Every attendee gets a Library Card when they check in at the Game Library. This card helps you track what you’ve played, and gives you a chance to win a free ticket to next year’s GameSchoolCon!
Here’s how it works:
- Pick a game from the library shelves or ask a Gamerunner for a recommendation.
- Check it out by handing your Library Card to the librarian. They’ll file it in a special spot for that game in our old-school Rolodex system.
- Play and return the game when you’re done.
- Collect a sticker! When you return a game, the librarian will give you a colored sticker on your Library Card that matches the category of the game you played (cooperative, strategy, deck building, etc.)
Complete the Rainbow, Win a Prize!
If you play at least one game from each category and fill your card with a rainbow of stickers, you can enter the Rainbow Raffle! Turn in your completed card by the end of the weekend for a chance to win free registration to next year’s GameSchoolCon.
This challenge is a great way to explore new games, stretch your comfort zone, and get the whole family playing together with purpose.
How to Find Players or Get Help: Use the Flag System!
We want everyone to feel welcome at the table—and that includes finding players and learning new games! That’s why we use a simple flag system at GameSchoolCon to signal what you need when you’re at a game table:

Red Flag = I Need Help
Put up a red flag if you’d like someone to help you learn how to play a game. A Gamerunner or friendly attendee will come explain the rules or guide you through your first few turns.
Green Flag = Looking for Players
Raise a green flag if you’re looking for more players to join your table. It’s a great way to meet new people, make friends, and discover games together!
Flags will be available in the game library and other designated gaming areas.

Who Can Use the Library?
Anyone with a GameSchoolCon pass! The library is open to all registered attendees—kids, teens, and adults alike. Younger kids must be accompanied by an adult when checking out games, but everyone is encouraged to explore, play, and learn together.
Tips for First-Time Game Explorers
- Not sure what to play? Ask a Gamerunner for a recommendation.
- Need help with rules? Many of our volunteers are ready to teach.
- Only have 20 minutes? We’ve got fast, fun games too.
- Nervous about learning a new game? Watch someone play first—or ask to join in!

There’s no wrong way to Gameschool—just follow your curiosity and let the games lead the way.
