GameSchoolCon

A Gaming Conference That’s Anything But Ordinary

GameSchoolCon is a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly conference that brings together homeschoolers, unschoolers, educators, and gamers of all kinds to celebrate learning through play.

Whether you're new to homeschooling or a seasoned unschooler, whether your kid learned to read through Magic cards or math through board games—you’ll find your people here.

At GameSchoolCon, education meets imagination. From board games and card games to Dungeons & Dragons and geeky crafts, every session is designed to spark joy, creativity, and connection.

Our Story

GameSchoolCon was created by two veteran homeschoolers and gamers, Sasha Kuczynski and Edward Stafford, with the conviction that people learn best when we are having fun.

In 2021, Erika Davis-Pitre acquired GameSchoolCon with the goal of carrying GameSchoolCon's mission into the future: sharing that games are for everyone, and all games are educational.

Erika is joined by a dedicated crew of Gamerunners, volunteers, and demo teams who work and play hard! Make sure you high-five them all weekend long!

What is Gameschooling?

Gameschooling means using games—tabletop, roleplaying, digital, and everything in between—as a core part of how we learn. It’s play-based learning at its best.

At GameSchoolCon, we believe:

  • All games have educational value
  • Learning happens everywhere, not just in classrooms
  • Families thrive when they follow their curiosity
  • Kids deserve communities where they’re seen, heard, and respected

This event is for homeschoolers, unschoolers, traditional educators, game designers, and playful families who want something more than worksheets and lectures.
